Implementation Engineer
The Implementation Engineer is responsible for managing the on-site implementation of RadarFind’s Real Time Location System solutions. As a member of the implementation team headed by the Director of Installation and Services for assigned projects, the Implementation Engineer works independently to survey and specify implementation plans, manage contractors, install and configure RadarFind’s RTLS systems. The Implementation Engineer works closely with customer personnel and exercises substantial discretion and judgment in resolving technical issues and adapting the installation and training of the RadarFind system to unique customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Installing the RadarFind system at customer sites, which include site surveys, facility department and contractor relations, configuring hardware and software, and managing network issues.
- Working closely with the facilities project manager, user department staff, and IT departments on such issues as infrastructure layout, system specifications, software configuration, hardware troubleshooting and repair, and network verification.
- Training targeted user groups on use of the products
- Performing system bring-up, performance diagnostics, and service work
- Maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
- Solving complex technical issues
- Educates other team members and contractors, provides advanced consulting on difficult client engagements and performs recovery missions on projects in jeopardy
- Communicating timely
o Status updates to Director of Installation and Services during the installation
o Any open issues to Director of Installation and Services and Technical Support at the conclusion of on-site work - Participating in weekly customer conference calls with Director of Installation and Services and customer
- Providing feedback to the Director of Installation and Services for
o Client requests for product enhancements
o Implementation process improvements
o Documentation improvements - Conducting post-installation training to improve customer’s knowledge and use of the solution
- Completing customer readiness checklist
- Obtaining acceptance certificates upon project completion
- Contributing to a positive and team oriented work environment
- MCSE, A+ or BS/BA or equivalent combination of education and experience in computer discipline
- In-depth expertise in hardware and software that provides foundation to quickly learn and understand RadarFind's proprietary hardware and software products and technical architecture
- Technical knowledge pertaining to the behavior of Radio Frequency energy in an indoor environment.
- Knowledge of the healthcare industry a plus
- Effective communications skills, presentation skills, and writing ability
- High degree of reliability
- Assertive, self-motivated and proactive
- Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize assignments
- Demonstrated focus on customer service
- Knowledge of AutoCAD software a plus
Position involves 80% travel to work on-site at various client hospitals throughout the U.S., and engage positively with clients while installing RadarFind system. Must possess valid driver's license.
