Green Technology Conserves Resources to Protect the Environment
Since the company’s inception, RadarFind’s founders and developers were committed toward designing a hospital-centric, energy efficient location-sensor network with a focus on environmental impact. A variety of product/system design implications reflect this commitment to maximize performance while minimizing waste.
RadarFind Readers and Tags are housed in recyclable plastic and the end-to-end system’s low power consumption is a key design parameter. The Plug-in Reader draws negligible power (1W) and the system’s deterministic architecture allows for exceptional battery life (asset tag batteries are projected to exceed six years).
This extended battery life also reduces the amount of hazardous waste material generated from RTLS tags. These environmentally conscious efforts are possible, in part, because RadarFind’s groundbreaking technology consumes the lowest amount of energy per location event of any RTLS on the market today.
